The Challenge
Healthcare apps have a trust problem. Nova's existing product felt clinical to the point of coldness — patients didn't return after their first session. The brand needed to feel both medically credible and genuinely warm, at a scale of 500k+ monthly active users.

Our Approach
We ran a three-phase discovery: clinical staff interviews, patient journey mapping across 15 touchpoints, and a competitor audit of 22 digital health brands. The insight was simple but powerful: Nova's competitors either felt like hospitals or felt like wellness apps. Nobody had claimed the space between.


The Solution
We introduced a new brand pillar — 'Precision Care' — and built a visual language around it. Soft gradients referencing biophotonic light, a typeface that balances technical precision with human warmth, and a motion system where every transition signals either progress or calm. The app was rebuilt in React Native with accessibility as a first-class constraint.
